Wartime Medical System Model - WAR-MED

U.S. Air Force, SGHR; Fort Detrick, MD

The WAR-MED program is an effort to develop and exercise automated systems analysis tools to optimize the Air Force wartime medical system. The WAR-MED system is a family of models with differing levels of detail; ranging form the individual medical facilities to theater level medical systems. The hierarchy of models ensures the traceability of the methodology and allows the appropriate level of detail for different types of analysis. The model is in development. The first operational portion is projected for FY 91, with project completion in FY 95.
