- Airport and Airspace Simulation Model
SIMMOD simulates all airport and airspace traffic operations in a continuous network of taxiways, runways, and flight paths. This program enables analysts to "play out" operations within a computer and to calculate the real world results of many alternatives.
- National Airspace System Performance Analysis Capability
NASPAC was designed to model the nation's airports en route structure and to address system-wide performance issues. The simulation model represents the movement of individual airframes through the sequence of flights that each will complete during the simulated day.
- Airport Landside Simulation Model
The purpose of the model is to evaluate the conditions inside the terminal and the service level from the patrons' viewpoint. Given a certain facility layout, an operating policy (number of servers), and a schedule of airplanes and their passenger loads.
- Honolulu International Airport Immigration Model
The simulation model has demonstrated to airport management the expected reduction in passenger waiting lines and waiting times in the INS area if the number of INS agents are increased, if passengers can be diverted to and temporarily held in comfortable waiting rooms.
- Automated Port Facility Simulation
The simulation program PORTSIM models a three-berth automated port facility that move loads between the wharf side and the in- process storage area (IPS), wharf cranes, ship cranes, and IPS cranes.
- Line Capacity Model
LCM is a train-dispatching model used to analyze railroad route capacity. The model considers multiple train types, class priorities, scheduled and unscheduled trains, mechanical interruption, track construction and a wide range of other dispatching and operating characteristics.
- Electronic Road Pricing System
The electronic road pricing system is a plan being considered by the Singapore government to reduce traffic congestion without penalizing car ownership. In the actual system, every vehicle would have a transponder attached.
